The Budge Porter Project has reached an important milestone.
On Thursday, October 25th, Budge and his family will be presented the keys to their new home. The fully barrier free and wheelchair accessible home is located at 13522 Corby Street. Sub contractors and suppliers who participated in building the home will be in attendance. Much of their work was donated or provided at cost.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 26-28, from noon-5pm, the home will be open to the public for tours for a $5 donation. (Free to people with disabilities.) This is an opportunity for the community to view amenities and construction techniques employed that accommodate the disabled, serving as a model for others like Budge.
